About Eric
Eric Stang is a multi-talented musician and actor who was born in Chicago and raised in Highland Park, Illinois. Eric graduated from DePaul University School of Music with a B.M. in Jazz Studies and has performed as a professional musician since the age of 13.
After starting off playing in jazz and funk bands, Eric cut his teeth on the Chicago blues and rock scene. Following a 5-year stint as a keyboardist, bassist and emcee/singer in a special events band, the Associates, Eric has performed at venues such as: Kingston Mines, B.L.U.E.S. on Halsted, House of Blues, Howl at the Moon, Park West, Aragon Ballroom, Sluggers World Class Sports Bar, Mastro's and SummerFest in Milwaukee. Eric has recorded for artists such as Kanye West, Twista, Malik Yusef and more... Eric also writes for and records with his band Polarcode. Along with teaching students privately, Eric was a staff teacher at the "School of Rock" in Highwood, Illinois from 2008-2009.
Eric began his professional acting career with a 6-month stint in Million Dollar Quartet as an understudy at the Apollo Theater in Chicago. Eric has returned to the show and is currently performing in the lead role of Jerry Lee Lewis at New World Stages in New York City.
